KAMLOOPS — Two overdue snowmobilers have been located in the Owls Head recreational area near Sicamous.

Southeast RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says the pair were reported missing last night and notes Mounties were assisted in the search by Southeast District Air Services and area search and rescue teams.

“The Sicamous RCMP were informed that the two men were part of a larger group that had gone into an area south of Owl Head Chalet around 1 p.m. on Sunday,” Moskaluk says. “Members of the group had attempted to locate the pair without success and then notified police.”

He says the missing men were a 25 year old from Calgary and a 27 year old from Rocky View, Alberta. Moskaluk says both were reported to be equipped with adequate clothing, survival gear and food.
