Greyhound extends lease at Kamloops location

KAMLOOPS — The Greyhound station in Kamloops is staying put.

Greyhound confirmed the news to CFJC Today Friday.

“In order to continue to serve the residents of Kamloops, we are extending our lease to October of 2018,” the company said in a statement.

Greyhound added it’s currently working with the City of Kamloops on a long-term plan that will continue to provide residents with access to surrounding areas.

Back in September, Greyhound filed an application to the B.C. Transportation Board requesting to reduce routes to twice a week on close to a dozen routes throughout the province, including Kamloops to Kelowna.
