KAMLOOPS — Tragedy on the Sugarcane First Nation reserve near Williams Lake.

Mounties there say one person is dead following a fire Tuesday morning which broke out at around 7:00.

“The Williams Lake RCMP were called to assist the 150 Mile Fire Department who were on scene trying to extinguish a structure fire on the reserve,” says Cst. Andrew Waters. “The fire department battled the blaze and reported a deceased person to the RCMP.”
