KAMLOOPS — A 25 year old man is facing charges following an alleged shooting in Kamloops.

Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels says Brandon Dale Fiddick was arrested without incident Sunday and is facing charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. He was due in court Tuesday

It’s all in relation to a firearms incident at an apartment building on Columbia Street Friday night. Police arrived to find a 40 year old Kamloops man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. As a safety precaution following the incident, police evacuated some units in the building and traffic was temporarily diverted from the area.

Two suspects were arrested Friday but later released following the execution of a search warrant on Saturday. Police say the search warrant is what led to Fiddick’s arrest.
