KAMLOOPS — One person was killed and two others seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash 40 kilometres west of Revelstoke today on Highway 1.

Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinksy of the Revelstoke RCMP says police received word of the collision around 12:30 p.m. close to the Craigellachie rest area. He says police believe it was the result of a head-on collision.

“In the three vehicles there were several seriously injured persons, including one female entrapped and determined deceased,” Grabinsky says. “A dog was also found deceased at the scene. Two males were in various states of critical condition. Persons in the third vehicle appeared to have only minor or no injuries.”
