KAMLOOPS — It’s a milestone for a classic Kamloops Christmas tradition — the Wildlights festival out at the BC Wildlife Park is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year, and the display is bigger and brighter than ever! According to Park General Manager Glenn Grant, the park is counting on the festival to help bring in some much needed revenue after a slower summer season, due to the wildfires in the region.

“I remember year number one like it was a few short years ago,” Grant reminisced. “We had diesel power plants and generators everywhere to run 7-watt bulbs. To go to the energy-efficient LEDs and crisper, brighter light; it’s amazing how the show’s evolved in the last 20 years.”
