KAMLOOPS — Vehicle owners in Sun Peaks have been hit by a rash of thefts.

The Tk’emlups Rural RCMP says that between Nov. 17-29 a number of vehicles in the municipality were hit.

“In three cases windows were broken to gain entry,” says Staff Sgt. Doug Aird. “Thefts of this sort are not common in Sun Peaks and police believe the thief was staying up there for the week or may be a new permanent resident.”

He says the investigations are ongoing. Anyone with any information about the alleged crimes is asked to call police.
