KAMLOOPS — A derailment between Savona and Cache Creek shut down the CN mainline for more than 24 hours last weekend.

In an email, CN Public Affairs Manager Kate Fenske says the derailment took place about 70 kilometres west of Kamloops.

Fenske says multiple loaded cars in a westbound grain train left the tracks at about 10:45 Friday night.

No one was injured, and Fenske says the line reopened Sunday morning.
