KELOWNA —   The B-C New Democrats have acclaimed Shelley Cook — who leads a chapter of the John Howard Society — to run in the Kelowna West byelection.

The riding became vacant when former premier Christy Clark stepped down in August.

The B-C Liberals have already nominated Ben Stewart — who was the candidate for the riding prior to Clark — to run for the seat.

A date for the byelection has not yet been set, but it must be called before February 3rd. (The Canadian Press)
