WolfPack men’s basketball split weekend series at Mount Royal

CALGARY, AB— It was a .500 weekend for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s basketball team. The WolfPack split their Canada West series at the Kenyon court at Mount Royal University in Calgary.

On Saturday (Nov 25), the ‘Pack edged out the Mount Royal Cougars 65-61 for their third win of the regular season.  The Cougars fall to 5-5 on the year.

SYNOPSIS

Thompson Rivers had a slim one point lead (18-17).  They limited the Cougars to only nine points in the second quarter and eight points in the third.

TRU got 16 points out of Joe Davis (3rd year, forward, Kamloops, BC).  He added 14 rebounds.

Luke Morris (5th year, forward, Mission, BC) had 15 points  and 12 rebounds (all on defense) while Mike Rouault (3rd year, guard, Vernon, BC) added 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Nick Tancon had 13 points for Mount Royal.
