Double trouble for Vernon woman facing second drunk driving charge

VERNON — Showing up to the RCMP detachment “under the influence” is probably not the best idea when you’re already facing an impaired driving charge.

Police say that was the case this week when a 37 year old Vernon woman came in to provide fingerprints on another impaired driving charge from an incident in May.

Officers could smell liquor on her, and cautioned her not to drive, but she did.

The woman provided breath samples in excess of 3 times the legal limit, and could now face a second charge.
