KAMLOOPS — Quinn Benjafield scored once and set up three more to lead the Blazers to a 5-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Ondrej Vala with his 6th of the season gave the Blazers a 1-0 lead in an otherwise uneventful first period.

Nick Chyzowski scored his 7th 4:49 into the second to put the Blazers up 2-0.

Jermaine Loewen and Benjafield assisted.

Lethbridge then scored back to back to tie it —- first Tanner Nagel on a power play midway through the second.

Then Jordy Bellerive three minutes into the third.

With under five minutes left Benjafield fed a pass off the wall to Brodi Stuart in the high slot for his fifth of the season.

Before the Hurricanes had a chance to pull their goaltender for a sixth attacker Benjafield beat Stuart Skinner with a minute and 51 seconds left to put the Blazers ahead by two.

With Skinner then on the bench Benjafield fed Chyzowski with a breakaway pass for his second of the game into an empty net.

The Blazers win 5-2 to sweep two weekend home games.

Dylan Ferguson in his second start since returning from the Vegas Golden Knights, stopped 25 of 27 Lethbridge shots.

The Blazers are off now until next weekend when they host Medicine Hat on Friday and Prince George Saturday.
