Two-vehicle crash on Trans Canada near Salmon Arm claims a life

KAMLOOPS β€” One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on the Trans Canada Highway near Salmon Arm.

RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says it happened Saturday at around noon.

β€œThe collision occurred on a straight stretch of road and involved a loaded northbound commercial motor vehicle and a southbound Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. The 62 year old male driver of the Toyota from Salmon Arm had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the semi truck from Kamloops was not injured.”

He says members of the Trans Canada East Traffic Services unit continue to investigate the cause of the collision and are assisting the BC Coroners Service.
