WestJet flight from Kelowna has to turn back

KELOWNA — Some tense moments for passengers of a WestJet flight from Kelowna to Edmonton last night.
The turboprop had just taken off when the pilot detected what appeared to be a mechanical problem.
The flight had to return to YLW and landed safely.
The potential emergency delayed a couple of other incoming planes
Passengers were rebooked onto other flights. The plane was checked over and eventually was able to take off again for Edmonton just after 10 pm.
