One injured in Williams Lake armed robbery

KAMLOOPS — One person was injured in an armed robbery in Williams Lake Tuesday.

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says the incident occurred at around 2:20 a.m. when a person walking along Second Avenue North was assaulted by an unidentified individual or indviduals.

"The suspect(s) produced a weapon and robbed the victim of money," she says. "The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from hospital."

Saunderson says the victim was unable to provide a description of the person(s) responsible adding patrols for the suspect(s) were unsuccessful.
