VICTORIA — Rookie Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Peter Milobar wasn’t making any friends in the government benches of the BC Legislature Tuesday.

Milobar was chided by Legislative Speaker Darryl Plecas during Question Period for referring to Agriculture Minister Lana Popham as “the minister of intimidation.”

Plecas told Milobar his statement was out of order, and Milobar withdrew it, though he repeated the nickname in the process.

Milobar’s question was in reference to Popham’s handling of a fish farming dispute off the Vancouver Island coast.
