WolfPack swim team garners medals on first day of Penticton meet

PENTICTON, B.C. — Members of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack swim team captured three medals on the opening day of the Penticton Triple Pentathlon competition. 

Nolan Paul (Mission, BC) finished second and won silver in the 100 meter back, fly and free event.  Teammate Matt Gauthier (Sylvan Lake, AB) captured a silver in the 100 meter breast stroke while Breena Russnel (Fort McMurray, AB) was a bronze medal winner in the 100 meter free.

Coach Brad Dalke was pleased with his teams performance in their first meet of the year.

On Saturday, the swimmers will compete in 200 meter events in the morning and the 400 meter IM in the afternoon.
