Blazers break through into win column against Cougars

PRINCE GEORGE, BC — The Kamloops Blazers finally broke into the win column, as they defeated the Prince George Cougars 4-1 on Friday night.

Dylan Ferguson stopped 24 of 25 shots faced to earn his first victory between the pipes, while Garrett Pilon had a goal and two assists for the Blazers.

Connor Zary had a goal and an assist, while Joe Gatenby tallied a pair of helpers for Kamloops. Brodi Stuart and Jermaine Loewen had the other two goals for the Blazers.

Kody McDonald scored the lone goal for Prince George. The Cougars and Blazers will play again on Saturday night at the CN Centre in Prince George.
