KAMLOOPS — The BC Environmental Assessment Office is all finished surveying the public about the proposed KGHM-Ajax mine.

The final public comment period on the assessment into the mine proposal closed earlier this week.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Environment, the EAO will now review the comments and synthesize them into a summary for the provincial cabinet, who will make the final decision approving or denying an environmental certificate.

The EAO will also consider whether revision to the draft provincial documents are necessary before forwarding its decision package to the cabinet ministers.
