KAMLOOPS — The death  of bullrider Ty Pozzobon last January rocked the rodeo world.

Researchers at the University of Washington School of Medicine Neuropathology Core in Seattle yesterday released the results of their findings on the examination of Pozzobon’s brain.

Their research revealed that Pozzobon had a chronic brain disorder that has affected many football and some hockey players.

While the research is far from over, the hope is that the Pozzobon tragedy will lead to an education of awareness and the short and long term impact of concussions and head trauma.
