WolfPack baseball rally, fall just short against UBC

KAMLOOPS — After earning their a win against the University of British Columbia on Saturday night, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team were back on the field today to take on UBC one more time. TRU was down by seven at one point but continued to battle all game, but ultimately lost 12-10.

 

Tyler Mostalyk (Thunder Bay, ON), Josh Snider (Moses Lake, WA) and Qwinn Nesplak (White Rock, BC) all pitched for the ‘Pack. They gave up 12 runs but only seven were earned runs. Moskalyk struck out three batters.

 

Kyron Smith (Maple Ridge, BC) had a huge game offensively for the ‘Pack, going 2-2 with a double, a triple, two RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. Jackson Dartnell (Winnipeg, MB) had a big two-run single and a walk and a run scored. Zac Comeault (Pitt Meadows, BC) went 1-3 with a RBI, two runs scored, and three walks. Adam Filmon (Winnipeg, MB) and Josiah Williams (Maple Ridge, BC) each collected RBI singles, while Cole Paquin (Regina, SK) also collected a RBI. Malik James (Toronto, ON) hit a double. Liam Rihela (White Rock, BC), Vance Fode (Bow Island, AB) and Josh Iannetti (Fort McMurray, AB) each collected a base hit as well.
