Expect traffic delays on TCH east of Pritchard after accident

UPDATE — 8:45 AM —  The Trans Canada Highway has now reopened to single-lane alternating traffic after an accident this morning between Pritchard and Chase this morning.

Fire crews had to extinguish a fire in a semi trailer which rolled over on the Trans Canada Highway near Pritchard around 5:45 this morning.

The semi collided with another vehicle near the intersection with Harper Lake Road between Pritchard and Chase.

The semi rolled and caught fire. Apparently no life-threatening injuries to occupants in either vehicle.

Expect traffic delays in that area this morning while crews deal with the emergency. Hydro lines are down, and fire crews were still on site around 8:30 this morning. 

 

 

EARLIER — Kamloops Fire and Rescue vehicles are en route to an accident on the Trans Canada Highway between Pritchard and Chase this morning.

A semi was in collision with another vehicle. The semi has apparently caught fire.

One of the vehicles involved has also rolled. No indication yet as to which vehicle it was.

The accident occurred near the turnoff to Harper Lake Road. 

Expect traffic delays if you’re heading in that direction this morning.
