ARMSTRONG — A homeless man from Armstrong is on trial for allegedly stabbing a man who took him home to give him a hot meal and a warm night’s sleep.

Maurice Taillon has pled not guilty to assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault .

Spallumcheen resident Cameron Ormiston befriended Taillon in November 2014, and took him back to his rental home for a meal.

However, after some drinking that night, Taillon wouldn’t go to sleep, and Ormiston tried to kick him out.
