KAMLOOPS — The TRU WolfPack Men’s Soccer team came out firing on all cylinders again Sunday, as they hosted the U SPORTS #5 ranked UBC Thunderbirds at Hillside Stadium.

The ‘Pack opened the scoring in the 7th minute as TRU’s Josh Banton took a pass through the middle from Justin Donaldson and fired home his first of the season.

The home team took a 2-0 lead in the 26th minute, as Donaldson headed home a cross from the left side for his second goal in as many games.

UBC would break Lubomir Magdolen’s shutout streak in the 54th minute. Connor Guilherme scored into the far bottom corner of the TRU goal off a corner to get the T-Birds into the game.

Then in the 85th minute, the T-Birds would even things up, as Kristian Yli-Hietanen would score his first of the year.

That would be the final, as the WolfPack and Thunderbirds would play to a 2-2 draw. The next home action for the Men’s Soccer team is on September 17th, when they play host to the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.
