Bridge tolls are gone in Lower Mainland

VANCOUVER —   Premier John Horgan made good on a promise last week when he announced the removal of tolls on the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges, effective today.

But I-C-B-C’s Joanna Linsangan is reminding drivers they need to still settle up their outstanding toll payments.

She says the insurance corporation will be notified of any unpaid tolls, and it will place a hold on people’s car insurance or drivers’ licence renewal until the fee is paid.

Toll debts must be paid to TREO, the corporation set up by the former Liberal government to manage the tolls.
