Balson wins Sunshine Open

KAMLOOPS — The annual Sunshine Open Golf Tournament wrapped up at the Kamloops Golf and Country Club yesterday with a playoff.

Riley Balson and Ryan Krisko finished regulation tied at at 3-under 144.

Balson, who is a linesman in the Western Hockey League, hit a big tee shot on the par four second hole to within 12 feet of the cup and drained the eagle putt to win.
