Fire causes extensive damage to North Shore apartment

KAMLOOPS — Extensive damage to two units in an apartment complex at 245 Royal Avenue last night.

KFR’s Ken Hart says crews were called about 8:00 PM to the blaze, which had broken out in one unit and spread quickly to another adjacent residence.

Crews were able to prevent the blaze from getting into the rest of the complex, but Hart says the two units suffered extensive damage from the blaze.

It took until midnight to get things totally out and mopped up.

Fire inspectors will be on scene this morning to assess the cause, but both KFR and RCMP say the blaze is not suspicious in nature.
