SALMON ARM, B.C. — High winds created all sorts of problems in the Shuswap area over the weekend.

Trees and power lines were blown down in many areas, and the Trans Canada was closed for a time between Craigellachie and Revelstoke because of rocks on the road.

Witnesses said trees were snapping like twigs, crashing down around homes and vacationing travellers set up in their trailers.
