KAMLOOPS — There is good news on the weather front, as Environment Canada is calling for widepsread rain in the Interior this Thursday, which could bring relief for the hundreds of firefighters.

In the meantime, B.C.’s  Deputy Provincial Health Officer is urging people to use caution amid very smoky conditions in much of the province, including in Kamloops where the air quality index is listed at eleven, as of 12 noon.

Doctor Bonnie Henry says those with chronic conditions need to have their medications handy, should avoid physical exertion and should stay indoors.
