Sun Devils drop first game in International Baseball Tourney

KAMLOOPS —Alaska Goldpanners got off to a fast start and never looked back, beating the Kamloops Sun Devils 6-1 in the feature game of day 1 of the Kamloops International Baseball tournament last night.

Panners got 2 in the 1st, and 1 each in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

They pounded out 13 hits en route to the win. Only one player on the field failed to get at least one hit. 

Alex Reid took the loss for the Sun Devils, who got their only run in the 8th inning.
