Man robs North Shore convenience store at knifepoint

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are asking for help tracking down the man who robbed a convenience store on the North Shore this afternoon.

Officers say the man walked into the Cornerstone Market on 12th Street and Halston Avenue at about 2:00 p.m.

The man approached a clerk, pulled a large knife and demanded money.

Police say the clerk gave him some cash and the suspect took off.

The suspect is described as white, about six feet tall with a larger build and dark hair that is ear-to-shoulder length.

He was wearing a black long-sleeved sweater, blue jeans, black runners and a light brown pillow case over his head.

Witnesses say he was driving an older green four-door car, similar to a Mercury Sable or Chevy Lumina.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Kamloops RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
