KAMLOOPS —  The Kamloops RiverDogs were hoping that this would be the year that they would clear the hump and win their own Canada Day Baseball Classic for a second time.

They won the first one back in 2001, but have never been able to repeat since then, and had to settle for the consolation round in 2017.

After going 2-and-2 in the round robin the RiverDogs took on the Red Deer Braves in their final game.

The RiverDogs scored off of their runs in the third inning in a 5-3 win.
