KAMLOOPS — The Dew Drop wildfire west of Kamloops continues to burn.

Fire Information Officer Max Birkner says the blaze remains at 156 hectares.

According to Birnker, yesterday’s intermittent showers helped crews keep a handle on the fire.

“That little drizzle we got yesterday helped out quite a lot,” said Birkner. “As it stands the fire is 60 percent contained. There are 60 firefighters that are on site today and we also have air support ready to be used if necessary.”
