Westmount students celebrate Canada’s 150th early

KAMLOOPS — In just over one week’s time, our country will celebrate the 150th anniversary of confederation; students at Westmount Elementary got a bit of a head start today, as they held an assembly to wish Canada a Happy 150th Birthday.

The students, bedecked in their red and white finest, all waved Canadian flags courtesy of MP Cathy McLeod, and sang their patriotic hearts out at an assembly this morning, held in honour of Canada’s big year.
