Rivers Trail, pier re-open at Riverside Park

KAMLOOPS — After they were closed for a large portion of the spring, the City of Kamloops has re-opened the Riverside Park pier and the Rivers Trail between Riverside and Pioneer Parks.

High water resulted in the city closing those features, but the Thompson River has now peaked and is on its way back down to more seasonal levels.

Boat launches throughout the city re-opened last week.

City officials advise the public to remain cautious near the water.
