KAMLOOPS —  The 22nd annual Relay for Life took place at Riverside Park Saturday.

Dozens of teams and individuals, many of them living with cancer or who know someone affected by the disease, walked throughout the park to show their support for survivors.

“People love coming out and seeing our survivors and cheering them on,” said Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Jennifer Harbaruk. “That’s what relay does, it really showcases those people in our community who have survived the disease and who are carrying on.”

Every year the event raises thousands of dollars to go towards the Canadian Cancer Society.
