Barriere emergency department closed today

BARRIERE, B.C. — Interior Health says the emergency department in Barriere will be closed today.

According to a news release, the closure is due to “unexpected temporary limited staffing availability.”

The physician clinic in the community is still open.

Those in need of emergency care in Barriere and area are encouraged to call 911, or to visit emergency departments in either Clearwater or Kamloops.
