Kamloops first downtown pride parade coming this summer

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Expect a rainbow of colour in downtown Kamloops this summer.

The cities first Pride Parade titled  ‘Out in the Street’ is scheduled to take place August 20th beginning at Riverside Park.

Kamloops Pride President Kirstin McLaughlin says the day is about recognizing members of Kamloops lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in a fun, lively atmosphere.

“It’s a day of celebration and visibility,” said McLaughlin. “It’s about bringing the wider Kamloops community together in acknowledgment and celebration of our community.”
