Kamloops Airport reports surprise passenger traffic bump

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Airport got an unexpected passenger traffic bump last month.

Numbers released today show more than 26,000 people flew through Fulton Field in April.

That’s up six per cent from the same month in 2016.

Year-to-date totals remain down three per cent.

Manager Fred Legace says the increase in April appears to be across all sectors, so the strength of the BC economy combined with the slow recovery of the Alberta economy deserve credit for the increase.
