KELOWNA — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack have had a number of players honored as Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference all-stars for the 2017 season.

At their annual awards banquet held Tuesday (May 9) in Kelowna, BC, the Pack had two players chosen to the first team and three more named to the second team.

Named to the first team were outfielder/DH Ethan Mohan (Calgary, AB) and pitcher Tyler Hodder (Fort McMurray, AB).   It’s Mohan’s third straight all-star selection. Last year, he was a second team all-star after being named a first team player two years ago.

Hodder was named a first team pitcher for the second straight season. He was third in the league in wins (4) and fourth in E.R.A. (2.19).

Rookies Malik James (Whitby, ON), Vance Fode (Bow Island, AB) and veteran infielder Josh Hillis (Calgary, AB)  were selected to the second all-star team. James hit .329 with 82 at bats, 12 runs scored, 27 hits, six doubles, a triple and 11 RBI.  Fode was tied for third in the CCBC for homers (4) and had 22 RBI.  Hillis hit .243 with 20 runs scored, 26 hits, two doubles, and 15 RBI.
