Six from Kamloops named to Team B.C. for Canada Summer Games

KAMLOOPS — The 50th anniversary of the first Canada Summer Games in 1967 will begin in late July in Winnipeg.

Team B.C. has started to name it’s athletes, and so far four athletes and a coach from Kamloops are on the list.

Reid Jansen and Nick Sarai from the South Kam Titans and Westsyde Whundas Spencer Ledoux have been named to the B.C. men’s basketball team while Olivia Morgan-Cherchas from South Kam is on the B.C. women’s team.

Cameron Chambers with Special Olympics B.C. will compete in swimming while Aaaron Leontowich will be a coach on the B.C. Special Olympics swim team.
