Drug overdose deaths continue to take a toll in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The BC Coroners Service says March was the deadliest month of the year so far for drug users in the province.

According to statistics released today, 120 people died after overdosing on illicit drugs last month.

That’s the largest fatality total in 2017 so far, and brings the year-to-date total to 347.

Here in Kamloops, 12 people have died due to fatal drug overdoses so far this year.
