Blazers against history and the odds in playoff series

KAMLOOPS — The Blazers aren’t only battling the Rockets, now they’re up against history and the odds after dropping the first two games in Kelowna.

1995 was the last time a Blazers team lost the first two games and went on to win the series.

It was the league final against Brandon, when they dropped the first two games and won the next four on the way to winning a second consecutive Memorial Cup.

That was a team stacked with the likes of Jarome Iginla, Shane Doan, Darcy Tucker, Tyson Nash and a deep supporting cast — and coached by Don Hay.
