Hundreds cashing in on province’s first-time homebuyer program

VANCOUVER, B.C. — More than 1000 people have applied for the Liberals first-time homebuyers program since mid-January, with 831 approvals processed.

 In December, the Liberals announced they would match first-time-buyers payments up to $37,500, or up to 5% of the purchase price.

The 25-year loan is interest-free and payment-free for the first five years.
