KAMLOOPS — No word yet on the condition of a young boy who was taken to Royal Inland Hospital late yesterday afternoon after an incident at the Canada Games Pool.

Emergency crews were called around 4:00 PM yesterday after getting called about an incident at the pool involving a youngster about 3-4 years of age.

The pool was evacuated while paramedics worked on the youngster, eventually taking him to hospital.

Our reporters at the scene said when he was taken out on a stretcher, he was moving his arms, but there isn’t any official word on his condition this morning.

And as yet, no word on what exactly happened.

It’s believed the incident occurred at the splash pool, but what we don’t know at this point is whether or not the boy suffered some kind of cardiac arrest, or was drowning.

We expect information from the City later this morning.
