KAMLOOPS — Harry Lali has won the NDP Fraser-Nicola nomination.

Lali was declared the official NDP candidate for Fraser-Nicola yesterday, winning a large majority over the Chief of the Lower Nicola Indian Band Aaron Sam

With less than two months ’til the provincial election, the former BC Transportation and Highways Minister says he’s ready to get to work.

“I’ve been involved in it for a long, long time and I know it’s something I can make a difference in,” said Lali. “Given the last 16 years of the Liberals changing the social and economic fabric of British Columbia, not for the better, I want to make a difference, especially in Fraser- Nicola.”

Lali says protecting the forestry industry and improving hospital services throughout the Fraser-Nicola region is his main focus leading up to the May 9th election.

The father-of-three knows his riding well.

He was an 18 year NDP MLA for Fraser-Nicola and the former Yale-Lillooet riding.

Lali is campaigning against Liberal incumbent Jackie Tegart and Green Party candidate Arthur Green
