KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Conservative leadership candidate and Ontario MP Erin O’Toole was in Kamloops Saturday speaking to party members and voters ahead of the leadership vote May 27th.

The event, held at the DoubleTree Hotel, is part of a cross-Canada tour where O’Toole is speaking to numerous communities in a bid to re-strengthen Conservative support and connect with younger generations.

“We need to reach out to new people, younger people, and small business people and lose what was perceived as a bit of a tough edge that we had at the end of the last government,” said O’Toole. “For me, I”m trying to hit as many ridings as possible to earn that trust of our party members so that we can win that next election before Mr. Trudeau totally destroys our economy.”

O’Toole says while Trudeau is great at taking selfies with the younger generation, he’s offered ‘zero’ for them
