Trans Canada open after morning hydro line incident

HOPE, B.C. — UPDATED:

The highway is now back open.

EARLIER:

The Trans Canada Highway is closed in both directions this hour just north of Hope.

According to Drive BC, the closure is due to hydro lines down in the area.

It’s not known what caused the lines to fall.

The Coquihalla Highway can be used as a detour.

Drive BC says the situation should be updated shortly.
