RCMP investigate homicide in east Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A 56 year old Kamloops man has been charged in Kamloops’ first homicide of 2017.

Kamloops RCMP say Stephen George Fraser is facing one count of second degree murder after the Saturday killing of a 26 year old Kamloops man.

According to RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels, emergency crews received report of a disturbance on the 9000-block of Dallas Drive, the property adjacent to the BC Wildlife Park, just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, police found a 56-year-old man being held down by several witnesses and the man was taken into custody.
