ASHCROFT, B.C. — Interior Health says the Do Not Consume order for the Thompson River downstream of the derailment near Ashcroft is still in place.

The CP derailment two weeks ago resulted in metallurgical coal being dumped into the river.

The order covers a 50 kilometre length of the river downstream from the spill site.

According to a news release, there are no community water systems inside that stretch, and only a few private water users.
